Frank Gerhard, österreichischer Schriftsteller, * Wien 29. 11. 1909, ✝ Garches (bei Versailles) 22. 11. 1989; emigrierte 1938 über Rom nach Saigon; kämpfte in der Fremdenlegion und auf französischer Seite im antijapanischen Widerstand; lebte ab 1946 in Frankreich; schrieb Gedichte in freien Rhythmen (u. a. »Wandel und Wiederkehr«, 1950; »Entzifferung«, 1976; »Durch-Blick«, 1980) sowie Dramen, die v. a. das Verhältnis von Geist und Macht (»Geist und Macht«, vier Stücke, 1973) sowie die jüdische Geschichte behandeln.
